The Office Manager welcomes clients, keeps a watchful eye, and manages the phone system during business hours. They assist with necessary entry items, and.. manage all the day-to-day logistics! Their smile and hospitable approach will help you feel welcomed and safe!

Intake Coordinator/Administrative Assistant

The Intake Coordinator is likely the person you will hear on the phone, whose calm and cheerful demeanor will immediately put you at ease. They will process your intake forms and answer questions for you as you get connected to services and the team at OSP!

Mike DiMatteo

Legal Services Manager

This person is the backbone of our legal department and works closely with the other advocates to ensure your documents are prepared accurately and completed in a timely manner. They process restraining orders, and provide court support, helping you navigate the court process.

Legal Services Advocate

This person is your "calm in the storm". They assist the Legal Services Manager to process restraining orders and provide court support. They are knowledgeable and ready to advocate for you, and help you navigate the court process, thus aiding in eliminating confusion.

Organizational Liaison

This staff member leads and oversees the advocates and their caseloads. They provide high level management of the crisis walk-in center, and oversight of its supporting programs such as the Crisis Hotline, Children's Services Liaising, and the Volunteer and Training programs. They are passionate about this line of work and find joy in supporting the staff on the front-lines!

Site Maintenance and Crisis Hotline Coordinator

Safety and Response is their top priority! With such a large facility, this person stays busy keeping everything maintained and functioning properly. They ensure the Sierra Center building is operating as efficiently and safely as possible. In addition, they oversee the crisis hotline schedule, which is staffed with certified advocates who provide 24/7 coverage and responses to law enforcement and local hospitals.

Client Services Intake Specialist

They are the individuals that triage walk-in clients via needs assessments, provide court preparation support, are a wealth of knowledge, and make connections to vital resources. They are great listeners, giving space and time for those in crisis to process and plan their next steps. They also provide responses to law enforcement and hospitals during regular business hours.

Volunteer and Training Coordinator

This person helps keep the organization functioning effectively through their robust support and coordination of our amazing volunteers, as well as ensuring our staff and volunteers have all the latest trainings and continuing education to maximize our services offered to clients.

Children and Family Services (CFS) Liaison

This person is passionate about helping families reported to CFS stay together or reunite through empowerment and education, and is a true domestic violence specialist bringing understanding and awareness about the effects and cycles of domestic violence to those having been reported to Children and Family Services due to domestic violence.

Shelter Administrator

This person is the greatest of multitaskers. They see needs coming from a mile away and coordinate all efforts to meet the needs in an excellent and robust way. They maintain the confidentiality and trust of our clients and make the shelter a safe and healing place to be.

These people know how to care for people well! They are around for any need that might arise, ensuring the health and safety of all our residents. They assist with donation distribution, food planning, connection to resources, and so much more!

These people know how to connect and built trust with each of our residents!  They ensure a clean and functional space for all residents, are a listening ear, meet needs as they arise, coordinate services, resources, and daily activities!

Shelter Social Worker

This person is here to help our residents prepare for what they need as they adjust to life in shelter and prepare for life after.  Here to help families create customized case plans and help them meet their goals, they will provide intensive case management services to each resident.

This person is creating our expanding transitional housing options for residents transitioning out of shelter and into their next steps!  Coordinating with community partners, property owners, housing authorities, and our case managers, they are building so much more than a program!

These incredible humans are here to help our residents find their next home following their shelter stay.  Helping clients create goals for housing and walking with them into their next steps, they assist clients with overcoming barriers to permanent housing!

This person is here to create an environment of safety, connection, trust, and fun for all our residents.  Ensuring each family has the things they need to feel safe while they are with us and helping to make their experience in our shelter the best it can be.

Investigator Mike DiMatteo

Mike is an Investigator with the Redding Police Department; he is currently assigned to investigate child abuse and sexual assault cases. Mike has been an officer for over 15 years, where he has worked numerous assignments, including traffic, field training officer, force options instructor, and hostage negotiations. Mike started his career with the California Highway Patrol, assigned to the San Jose area office. He was born and raised in Redding, California. He is married with two awesome children. Mike enjoys spending time outdoors with his family!

Corporal Elizabeth Harris

Liz has been a police officer for 18 years, 12 of those in Redding. She most recently spent four years in the investigations division of the Redding Police Department, investigating crimes against children and sexual assault cases before being promoted to Corporal. Liz is married to the love of her life and spends her free time boating on Shasta Lake, kayaking, and hiking in beautiful Northern California.

Senior Victims Advocate Deborah Heide

Deborah Heide has worked for the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office for over 18 years. She is a Senior Victim Advocate and currently leads a team in supporting victims of crime in Shasta County. She provided input regarding what agencies should be co-located in the family justice center from a victim perspective and helped initiate Shasta County’s chapter of VOICES, a survivor support group that brings awareness to the community about family violence. Outside of work, you can find her having fun in the sun kayaking the local Shasta County lakes with her four-legged furry babies.

Sean Dugan, MD

Dr. Dugan is a board certified pediatrician who focuses on child abuse and adolescent medicine. He works at both Shasta Community Health Center and Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Dugan grew up in Hawaii and moved to the North State five years ago. He recently helped to develop a child abuse medical protocol that has already proven effective. He and his wife have four kids under the age of five!

Cindy Lane, MSW

Cindy has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has worked at Shasta County HHSA Children’s Services for the past 10 years. She started as a Senior Social Worker investigating child abuse and is currently the Program Manager of prevention programs, the child abuse hotline, and investigations.  When she is not at work she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Detective Chris Edwards

Detective Edwards has been in law enforcement for 14 years, working custody, patrol, and investigations. He is currently a Detective with the Shasta County Major Crimes Unit. Chris is married and has a 6-year-old son who he spends most of his time with when he is not at work. He loves the outdoors and has a passion for steelhead fishing in particular. His primary goal in life is to raise his son to be respectful, to understand there is someone upstairs, and to be the best he can be.

Stacie Bouyear, AMFT

Stacie joined our team in 2016 and has been a trusted voice from the perspective of Child Welfare, CSEC, and mental health. She obtains a Master’s degree in Forensics and a Master’s in Psychology as a Marriage Family Therapist. Stacie worked for 6 years in Sex Crimes for Child Welfare and worked with our CSEC youth. For the past 2+ years she has been working as a CSEC clinician supporting and providing therapy for youth in the community, for those currently working with youth in child welfare, youth on probation, or who come to children’s mental health for services. Outside of her extraordinary work, she enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.

Jen Rowe, MSW

Jen has been a part of our team since 2017 and has provided vital input from the standpoint of Child Welfare, CSEC, mental health and SO much more! Complete bio coming soon!!
