I’ve Talked With Teenage Boys About Sexual Assault for 20 Years. This Is What They Still Don’t Know
January 18, 2019

Did you know that the average duration of a stalking case is two years and that at least 1 in 6 women and 1 in 17 men have experienced stalking victimization at some point during their lifetime?

A majority of these individuals stated that the stalking cases were severe enough that they feared for their personal safety and the safety of those closest to them.

How can you #ChangeTheCulture and help support a friend or family member that is being stalked?

– Listen and believe them.
– Show support and let them know you care about them.
– Don’t blame the victim for the crime. This is not their fault.
– Remember that every situation is different, and allow the person being stalked to make choices about how to handle it. Empower them.
– Offer resources and let them know that you want them to be safe.
