(Redding, CA) – One SAFE Place (OSP) invites the community to the 11th Annual Dancing with the Stars Shasta County Style. Set for July 8, the fundraiser will be held at the Cascade Theatre.
“This year’s cast is diverse, dynamic, and competitive. These elements combined should create an exciting evening of entertainment that will also provide necessary funds for One SAFE Place programs throughout the year,” said One SAFE Place Event Manager Kristi Hanson.
The list of stars and their partners for 2017 includes: Mary Boisselle of the Grape Escape and her partner Daniel Knott; Aleta Carpenter of ACE Communications who will team up with DWTS veteran Nathan Myers; Debi Chimenti of the Redding Sheraton who is partnered with DWTS veteran Josiah Moran, Carly Fronefield of Partnership Health Plan of Northern California will partner with DWTS veteran Jordan Stevens; Paparazzi Tom of KRCR Channel 7 and Results Radio will partner with Madison Gerard; and Tyler Whitlow of Shasta Solutions will partner with OSP’s Kelliea Guthrie. Kathy Babcock of the Step by Step School of Ballroom Dance is this year’s Dance Director. VIVA Downtown’s John Truitt will emcee along with Maria Orozco, Double Champion of the 2010 show.
Each of the local stars will compete for votes by the amount of money they raise. The person who raises the most money (votes) will walk away with the “Champion of the 11th Annual Dancing with the Stars Shasta County Style” award. The coveted “Judges’ Choice Trophy” will go to the team that earns the highest style and technical marks by the Judges. The “People’s Choice Award” will be determined by audience vote. Judges include Linda Bott, Chris Gomez and Lynne Currie.
