RUN FOR THE MONEY BENEFITS SURVIVORS
The United Bikers of Northern California F Troop held their 13th Annual Intermountain High Bars & Low Cars “Run for the Money” Poker Run on Saturday August 5, 2016 at the Vets Hall in Burney, California.
F Troop organizer Greg Trotter will present One SAFE Place with a donation of $2,650.00 as proceeds from the event which drew in about 70 motorcycles and several classic cars. Burney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5689 donated $250 on top of providing the venue for the well-loved poker run fundraiser.
Awards were given for the high hand, low hand, best bike, best car and more. The Burney Lions Club donated and prepared food for the BBQ and were on hand to show support for One SAFE Place’s Inter Mountain program which provides a 24 hour crisis line and advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. The Inter Mountain program is staffed by volunteers in the Burney area and provided life changing services for 40 people within the last year.
“Run for the Money” is just one of the many charitable events put on by the United Bikers of Northern California, a 501c 3 organization that gives 100% of all fundraising events to charity and is dedicated to doing good things for our communities. The organization is comprised of hundreds of bikers throughout the North State, who all agree on one thing, getting along while doing charitable deeds for our communities.
