One SAFE Place’s
10th ANNUAL DANCING WITH THE STARS SHASTA COUNTY STYLE
TAKES PLACE TOMORROW AT THE CASCADE THEATRE

(Redding, CA) – One SAFE Place (OSP) is excited to host the 10th Annual Dancing with the Stars Shasta County Style tomorrow, June 25, 2016 at the historic Cascade Theatre.

The list of stars and their partners for 2016 includes:  Darrah Hart of Redding Rancheria and her partner DWTS veteran Derek Saelee; Brent Mangum of Sierra Pacific Industries who will team up with Sydney Miller; Kim Shaw of Dignity Health who is partnered with her husband Neil Shaw, Laurie Curto of Results Radio will partner with Mark Gowen; Fredericka Martin of Windermere Real Estate will partner with Ryan Lovdahl; and Alexandra Stephens of Rowell Family Empowerment will partner with six year DWTS veteran Nathan Myers.  LisaMarie Woody of JAMA Dance Company is this year’s Dance Director. Patrick John, Champion of the 2008 show will emcee along with Maria Orozco, Double Champion of the 2010 show.

This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for One SAFE Place.  Local stars compete for votes by the amount of money they raise.  The person who raises the most money (votes) will walk away with the “Champion of the 10th Annual Dancing with the Stars Shasta County Style” award. The coveted “Judges Choice Trophy” will go to the team that earns the highest style and technical marks by the Judges.  The “People’s Choice Award” will determined by audience vote. There will be other category winners as determined by the judges that evening.

“It is so encouraging to see local stars invest so much of their lives to help survivors of domestic & sexual abuse and their children.  From the weeks of dancing practice, to the time spent on various fundraisers, these local heroes are examples of how our community rallies together to help our neighbors in need of assistance,” said Angela Jones, Deputy Director of One SAFE Place.

Tickets are on sale ($10-$25) at the Cascade Theatre box office and online www.cascadetheatre.org.
